Bach Khoa Innovation 2021 Final Round

Model display and presentation of the TOP 20 and TOP 05 of University and High School groups respectively.

PRELIMINARY – UNIVERSITY GROUP

● Announce contest regulations to students at Colleges and Universities in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding regions; 

● Select up to 100 best projects to Round 1;

● The deadline for the Organizers to receive documents and project proposals from the teams is until the end of April 30th, 2022.

ROUND 1 – UNIVERSITY GROUP:

● After receiving up to 100 documents and project proposals after the preliminary round, on April 23rd, the Organizers will host Round 1 for the Board of Judges to select the best 50 projects into Round 2.

ROUND 2 – UNIVERSITY GROUP AND OPENING REGISTRATION FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL GROUP:

  • After selecting 50 documents and projects after Round 1, on June 4th, 2022, the Organizers will host Round 2 for the Board of Judges to select the best 20 projects into the Final Round
  • For Round 2 criteria, see here.
  • Proposals for the High school group ends after June 18th, 2022.

FINAL ROUND – TWO GROUPS:

  • Expected date: July 23rd, 2022.
  • Location: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
  • The finalist Teams will present products, ideas, and entrepreneur ideas at booths categorized and situated by the Organizers.
  • Finalists must follow these phases:

Phase one: The board of judges will mark and evaluate directly on the projects at their display booths and select the top 5 best teams.

Phase two: 5 best projects from the University group and 3 best projects from the High School groups voted by the jduges will enter Phase 2 – Presentation.

Format: Teams have 03 to 05 minutes to present about their project. The Board of Judges, guests, and other teams will have 10 minutes to raise questions. The Board of Judges will assess the performance based on the following criteria.

All forms of presentations and reports are in English.

– Meet the requirements of the competition team as well as the requirements of the topic/project

– After the preliminary round, the Organizers will select the best 100 projects to continue.

– Reports need to show a clear progress.

– The product/solution model must be visualized.

– There has to be a detailed plan of development and feasibility analysis

After Round 1, the Organizers will select the best 50 teams to continue. 

The qualifying teams for Round 2 will lose all their TOP 50 benefits if they do not participate in Round 2’s presentation.

– Reports are sent to the Organizers through the following email address: thy.vo@oisp.edu.vn

– Each time has 03 minutes  to present about their idea through their demo productt based on the following categories: blueprints, block diagrams, technical sketches, model sketches, or design calculations to the Board of Judges.

– Each team has 03 minutes to answer questions from the Board of Judges.

– Reports need to show the development capability and on-time project delivery.

– After Round 2, the Organiers will select the best 20 projects to continue.

– The qualifying teams for the Final round will lose all their Top 20 Benefits if they do not participate in the final presentation.

– Reports are sent to the Organizers through the following email address: thy.vo@oisp.edu.vn

– Each team hast 10 minutes to present about their idea with their current products (display the product even if it is still under finalizing).

– Each team has 05 minutes to answer questions from the Board of Judges.

 

Report Deadline: 28/05/2022

Date of report for Round 3: June 4th, 2022

 

Final

– Each team must complete their product model

– After the Final Round, the Organizers will select the top 5 teams (1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, and 2 Third Prizes).

– Reports are sent to the Organizers through the following email address: thy.vo@oisp.edu.vn

– Each team has 5 minutes to present on the applicability; socioeconomical impact; and the benefitting subject, along with product demonstration.

– Each time has 10 minutes to asnwer questions from the Board of Judges.

Report Deadline: July 14th, 2022

Date of report for Round 3: July 23th, 2022

Force majeure cases

Include all situations and events out of the Organizers control like diseases, natural disasters, wars, floods, fires, and earthquakes; or decisions of authorized governmental agencies causing inability or slowness in executing the competition.

When these situations happen, the Organizers are responsible for announcing them to educational bodies and the Department of Education to reach competitors as soon as poossible. Also, in such matter, the Organizers are not responsible for delays, slow executions, and abandonments of certain competition’s categories.
