The employers usually don\u2019t highly appreciate capabilities of female engineers. Such thinking used to be Ms. Phuong\u2019s obstacle when she was looking for a suitable job.<\/span><\/p>\n To her, Ms. Phuong, the pathway to success is not spread with flowers. Fresh graduates have to make great efforts to find a stand for their own.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAfter graduating, students\u00a0often looks for the positions having high\u00a0salary, but they don\u2019t consider if they can stand working there in a long\u00a0term. Instead of that, fresh graduates should look for the jobs that suitable with their capabilities, interests first.\u201d \u2013 Ms. Phuong frankly shared her thought with students attending the\u00a0BizTech Talk #2<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Ms. Phuong also listed out 03 jobs requiring high sophistication, flexibility, which can fit female engineers\u2019 characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n 1. With no hesitation, Ms. Tu immediately answered that we are the young who have enthusiasm and time to take risks and ready to rush into\u00a0work and do the best of ours. Not only that, she also stressed that the word \u201cfresh\u201d<\/span> means \u201cnew, not bind in shape and size and always be willing to learn\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n TIPS FOR IMPRESSIVE PROFILES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n After talking with students about their\u00a0experience, the two speakers had summarized some \u201cpocket tips\u201d for students to make the very first impression\u00a0when applying for a job.<\/span><\/p>\n 1.Good Academic Performance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Almost all of the company do require GPA at least 7.0 from applicants. However, GPA is not everything because there are many recruiters often give their candidates a case-study or presentation, of which confidence and flair make the most of the performance.<\/span><\/p>\n 2.English fluency and soft skills<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Deputy Manager of Talentnet didn\u2019t forget to remind that Vietnamese students are very strong in specialized knowledge but weak in using English when comparing to students in the region. Besides that, having\u00a0soft\u00a0skill is\u00a0one of the most prior criteria when screening for a potential candidate. Yet, soft skills are not seriously focused on most of the campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n Contributing to the experience\u00a0of soft-skills self-training, a student named Nam has shared some of the ways\u00a0he has applied so far.
