Ms. Yvette Baxter \u2013 International Executive Support Officer of Griffith Sciences \u2013 is introducing generally about Griffith University.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The visit happened on March 15th 2016 with the presence of Professor Sushila Chang \u2013 Academic Dean of Griffith Sciences; Ms. Yvette Baxter \u2013 International Executive Support Officer of Griffith Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two representatives of Griffith University had shared with students about engineering career and Griffith University information: namely the role and importance of engineering in new era, must-have soft skills of an engineer, job opportunities in technology field in Australia, Griffith facilities for studying, researching, and living, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Prof. Sushila Chang, almost half (49.7%) of foreign engineers working in Australia are coming from Asia. This figure partly reflects competitive advantages of Asian engineers \u2013 including Vietnam \u2013 on Australian labor market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Sushila Chang also added that while the industries of construction, petroleum, geology, environment is suffering from the lack of labor and Australian government has special treatment policy aimed at salary, the local workforce isn’t keen on these careers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Griffith University<\/em>\u00a0was established in 1971, located in Gold Coast the tourist city, Queensland, east of Australia. Griffith University is in Top 5% World-Leading University, and in \u201cTop 50 under 50\u201d (QS World University Rankings 2015). In 2014 \u2013 2015, Griffith University was honored as Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching<\/span><\/p>\n

Study programs of Griffith University is recognized by Engineers Australia (member of Washington Accord). Following that, students graduating from Griffith Unviersity with engineering degree are recognized in many developed countries such as New Zealand, USA, Canada, Russia, Turkey, Ireland, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n
