The conference hosted by Office for International Study Program (OISP) took place in 11\/9 in Building A4, Room 510. That was a chance for students to know more about articulation programs and advanced programs specialized in Chemical Engineering. Furthermore, there were representatives from famous corporations as Unilever, Intel, Samsung, etc., that might be their future employers.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Mr. Pham Quang Vinh \u2013 Head of R&D Department of Homecare of Unilever\u00a0 and Miss Huynh Thi My Linh \u2013 Process Management Engineer of Intel Vietnam said that English was the most important and compulsory part people have to improve if they want to be promoted<\/div>\n
Mr. Vinh also shared that books written in Vietnamese would not provide students enough professional knowledge specialized in Chemical Engineering. Students should read more books written in English to self-update knowledge in order to meet to international working environment\u2019s requirements.<\/div>\n

Besides that, the attitude and willpower are also recruiting criteria of many global corps.<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Mr.Vinh said that he had failed in the last test of Coca Cola because he answered that he did not know if he had good health for working ( he was not very healthy in the past). Failed! After that, in the test of Unilever, he had received the same question and he answered more wisely :\u201d I do not know for sure but if I have a chance, I will prove it\u201d. He had successfully passed then.<\/div>\n

Where do components of Vietnamese Engineers come from?<\/strong><\/div>\n

They do not come from other universities, from colleges in universities but they come from other countries as Philippine, Malaysia, China, Singapore, etc., Miss Linh shared: \u201cIn international companies with high requirements in technology, engineers must have strong deep knowledge to undertake big projects. If you do not have knowledge and skills that meet the requirements of them, they will ask foreign engineers in spite of high paid. Therefore, opportunities for Vietnamese engineers to have high positions are lower compared to foreign engineers.<\/div>\n
Studying in university environment, you have to \u201cplay\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mrs. Viet Ha \u2013 a Samsung Corp employee working in Korea said \u201c New graduates in Vietnam usually misunderstand the purpose of employers. Professional experience is not what the employers looking for because they know that you have just graduated from universities. The employers evaluate you by ability to work in team and intergrate into company environment.\u201d Therefore, she thought \u201cplay\u201d was the key element to evaluate a new graduate.<\/div>\n

This is the most common question from parents and students. Mr.Vinh shared: \u201cIt is important to know how to protect themselves. For example, doctors regularly expose to dangerous deceases but they know how to protect themselves\u201d<\/div>\n

He also said that big companies had safe standards of workplace, so student should not worry about danger in working in field of chemistry.\u00a0<\/div>\n
