* What will Environmental Management and Technology teach?<\/p>\n

– Depending on the level undergraduate or postgraduate.\u00a0Specifically, students in Management and Environmental Technology of High Quality program will be equipped with basic knowledge of environmental management and natural resources, remote sensing and GIS applications in natural resource management, technological water treatment, waste water, waste gas and solid waste …\u00a0At postgraduate level, students will learn research-intensive sectors such as elective: Quality Management and air pollution, Solid Waste Management , Environmental Impact Assessment, Membrane Technology in Water and Wastewater Treatment, Health and Sanitation, microbiology and laboratory applications, Physico-Chemical Proecesses (chemical and physical process), Toxic Organics and Trace Metals in Ecosystem (Toxic Organics body and trace metals in the ecosystem) …\u00a0more higher, after the common general knowledge, students will specialize by industry and their research subjects such as water, waste, air, economic economic environment ….<\/p>\n

*What are the potential of this career?<\/p>\n

– Graduates environmental sector can undertake research, management, staff, engineers at research centers, environmental management agencies, international organizations, non-governmental projects on the environment schools, water supply and sewerage companies, corporate environmental consulting solutions, manufacturing plants, environmental management in industrial parks, export processing …\u00a0In all companies, factories specialized now almost all have environmental engineers need to perform management, patents, production and sales of products, technologies, processes serve man in a green, clean, saving and environmental protection field.<\/p>\n

* In Vietnam, the society has no good look \u00a0about the environment sector (frequently exposed to pollution, smelly, toxic) as well as the work of environmental engineers (not respectable as the other engineers in the field of construction, pharmaceutical, electronics …).\u00a0How to reverse the thinking of society in a positive direction?<\/p>\n

– General working conditions and labor process in Vietnam is poor should almost always work in the industry to meet the contamination, toxic if not applicable safeguards.\u00a0Specifically, the doctor also has pathogen exposure, pharmaceutical engineers also exposed to chemicals, office worker sitting at a computer for hours … It is important that the work \/ labor compliance standards to reduce the impact of career.\u00a0Working in the environmental sector, the work will be more consciously and clearly understand the basic rules of hygiene measures and instruments to protect themselves when work.
\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.91″ text_font=”Roboto||||||||” text_orientation=”justified” custom_margin=”0px||8px|” custom_padding=”0px||0px|” saved_tabs=”all”]Accordingly,\u00a0Vietnam National University \u2013 Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM)<\/strong>, with only 3 ranks lower than the\u00a0Vietnam National University \u2013 Ha Noi (VNU-HN)<\/em>, had jumped\u00a05 ranks<\/em>\u00a0and currently staying at the rank 142th out of 400 universities in Asia. Within this ranking, VNU-HN stabilizes its position at the 139th, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has ranked up and now being grouped in-between the 291-300.<\/p>\n

Opposite to the rising trend of the three universities mentioned, the ranks of Hue University and Can Tho University were slightly dropped. More specifically, Hue University had dropped from 301-350 to 352-400; and Can Tho University had dropped from 251-300 to 301-500<\/p>\n

To analyze these changes, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Vice Director of Education Quality Assurance Center, said that the results of QS ranking system have shown the overall efforts of\u00a0VNU-HCM<\/em>\u00a0on all fields.

– The general trend of the world’s production and consumption in green and clean way, Vietnam and other countries are under comply with environmental standards so many needs of the workforce employed in the sector will increase.\u00a0The salary of the industry is high, according to performance, with many attractive remuneration.\u00a0Opportunities studying abroad is extremely open.<\/p>\n

* According to you, what is the Must-have characteristics of a Environmental engineer?<\/p>\n

– It is hard-working, good team work and love nature.<\/p>\n

* How do you assess the importance of the English Program in HCMUT to this sector?<\/p>\n

– A fact that’s almost all graduates from environmental engineering sectors have scholarships postgraduate study or work in an international environment because they did good at English.\u00a0Currently, scholarships to study in Japan, Europe, USA … for the environment sector is extremely much, you will not have to compete fiercely as in other sectors, as long as you have quite a good command of English.

The curriculum is entirely in English, quality proved by National University and partner schools in USA, Australia, Japan.<\/p>\n

The program is designed and built learner \u2013 centered, helps creativity, expertise, 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0language (English\/Japanese) and adapt easily to international environment.<\/p>\n

Graduates will receive degree by Griffith University or English Program degree by HCMUT.
