COMPUTER SCIENCE: WHAT IS IT?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Computer science is one of the critical disciplines in the information technology (IT) programs and other engineering in general.\u00a0This is the study guide for young people in order to nurture the passion for intensive research in IT, computing power of the computer system.<\/p>\n

The program equips students with fundamental and specialized knowledge in computer science such as: computer architecture, operating systems, programming languages software and hardware, artificial intelligence, security and safe computing, massive data processing from the internet and social networks, design and development of applications for mobile devices and website, etc.

Computer science requires the ability of abstract logical thinking<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

WHY COMPUTER SCIENCE IS CONFUSED WITH SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According To The Associate Professor – PhD. Thoai Nam, Head of Department of science & engineering, HCMUT, computer science is the foundation of all areas related to information technology, including software engineering.\u00a0This section helps learners master the knowledge of algorithm, complete understanding of the diverse areas of computing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, the learner continues to learn further for a specialized segment of IT such as software engineering, mobile programming,etc. The process of developing these paths takes place when the student studies and researches further or simply during the student’s internship\/training at work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, you must have a basic knowledge about computer science first and you can choose between several different concentration to pursue further, not only software engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

QUALITIES THAT DEFINE AN ENGINEER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to many experts, computer science is a difficult discipline because it favoured theory, academic knowledge.\u00a0The most important quality required in people who choose this specialization is abstract logical thinking. Mostly, those who study math well can grasp the notions and ideas in computer science more easily.<\/span><\/p>\n

People working in this sector have to be patient, meticulous, able to bear the pressure and have an effective time management skill.<\/span><\/p>\n

The curriculum is entirely in English, quality proved by National University and partner schools in USA, Australia, Japan.<\/p>\n
