On 16th<\/sup>\u00a0<\/span>September, on celebrating its 4th<\/sup>\u00a0<\/span>anniversary, the American Center in Ho Chi Minh City organized the inaugural ceremony of the Student Robotics Club at HCMC University of Technology. The club aims at providing a chance for students to research, learn and also serves as a playground for students with a common interest in robot programming.<\/strong><\/p>\n Ms. Rena Bitter, US Consul General enjoyed the experience of robot-controlling at HCMUT\u2019s Student Robotics Club<\/em><\/p>\n The ceremony welcomed Ms. Kristie Kenney \u2013 Career Ambassador in the United States Foreign Services, Ms. Rena Bitter \u2013 US Consul General, Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh \u2013 Rector of HCMC University of Technology, Mr. Doan Kim Thanh \u2013 Manager of Youth Technology Development Center and lots of press and media attention with thousands of students from high schools and universities who are highly interested in robot technology.<\/p>\n Ms. Bitter \u2013 US Consul General was strongly fascinated with controlling the robot by her own actions<\/em><\/p>\n The Students Robotics Club also presented lots of amazing projects such as: Remote control robot via human activities, obstacles detecting device, modern electronics board circuit, etc. Ms. Bitter was really fascinated when she tried our students\u2019 products and devices.<\/p>\n Recently, HCMC University of Technology has increasingly concentrated on developing students\u2019 creativity and practical skills, etc. besides theoretical knowledge. Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh \u2013 HCMUT\u2019s Rector said that the collaboration with the American Center will boost the effectiveness of the Robotics Club in providing students with a healthy and educational playground, promoting students\u2019 creativity, interest in the robotics field. Instructed by our experienced professors and lecturers, the club shall become one of the leading force in training and researching about robotics for students in high schools and universities. Besides, HCMC University of Technology is also going to develop other clubs in different fields such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or computer science, etc.<\/p>\n Associate Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh, Ms. Kristie Kenney \u2013 Career Ambassador in the US Foreign Service, Ms. Rena Bitter \u2013 US Consul General visited some product booths at the inauguration ceremony<\/em><\/p>\n Ms. Rena Bitter had made a speech at the ceremony, stating that after 4 years working in HCMC, the American Center has played a significant role in promoting education collaboration between two countries. The center has organized various activities such as teaching English, business skills, etc. In the near future, the center will concentrate more on technological field, firstly by collaborating with HCMC University of Technology in establishing the Robotics Club.
