In the continuation of the President Meeting, the RESCIF delegation accompanied by lecturers of two faculty of Environment and Faculty of Civil Engineering had a field trip about water matter in Mekong Delta, particularly at Go Cong in Tien Giang province on 21<\/span>st<\/sup>\u00a0November, 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb image=”https:\/\/oisp.hcmut.edu.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/new01.jpg” _builder_version=”3.17.2″ body_font=”||on||||||” body_text_align=”center” body_line_height=”1.5em” box_shadow_style_image=”preset3″ text_orientation=”center” custom_margin=”10px||10px|” custom_padding=”0px||0px|”] There the delegation was introduced to one of the nine estuaries of the Mekong River regarding salty water inundations and water resources uses, directly interacting with local people in order to further understand their urgent needs in water. These problems of water needs arising will be, therefore, closely paid attention to by the lecturers of faculty of Environment in their on-going co-research topics with Grenoble INP.\u00a0<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb image=”https:\/\/oisp.hcmut.edu.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/new02.jpg” _builder_version=”3.17.2″ body_font=”||on||||||” body_text_align=”center” body_line_height=”1.5em” box_shadow_style_image=”preset3″ text_orientation=”center” custom_margin=”10px||10px|” custom_padding=”0px||0px|”] Furthermore, the delegation also toured along Bao Dinh River on engine controlled boats in order to experience daily routines of local people along the River. In addition to this, the delegation visited a floating raft house where fish with its scientific name-Oreochromis sp. is cultivated with the ultimate objectives of introducing the way that fish is raised in floating rafts in Vietnam and negative impacts of aqua farming on the water resources and environment as a result.<\/p>\n Equally important, the delegation dropped by a firm where coconut candies are processed. There the delegation themselves directly wrapped the candies.
