Dr. Nguyen Thi Le Thu (Lecturer, Faculty of Materials Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach khoa) – VNU-HCM)<\/strong> with research and fabrication of intelligent silicon that can \u201crecord & remember shape\u201d and \u201cself-heal\u201d as medical materials to help implant and healing scratches or wounds.<\/span><\/p>\n 2. Dr. Tran Phuong Thao (Lecturer, Department of Pharmacology, Hanoi University of Pharmacy)<\/strong> with research & development of inhibitor glutaminyl cyclase enzyme, treatment for Alzheimer.<\/p>\n 3. Dr. Hoang Thi Dong Quy (Lecturer, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, University of Science – VNU-HCM)<\/strong> with research on composite\/ nanocomposite fireproof polymer, environment-friendly fireproof materials that included polyurethane, phosphorus\/ phosphorus-nitrogen.<\/p>\n 4. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai (Lecturer of Faculty of Pharmacy, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy)<\/strong> with research and development of medicinal plants of Van Kieu ethnic minorities (Central of Vietnam area) called “Bu De Tia” and “Man Dia” that capable to be put in use for cancer treatment and antioxidant.<\/p>\n 5. Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Dung (Institute of Environmental Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology)<\/strong> with research on nanomaterials, especially silver nanoparticle technology that has many functions: healing wounds & ulcers, water-filters for household, diaper tapes, and protective masks.<\/p>\n Dr. Dung Tran\u2019s work has been clinically tested in many major hospitals such as National Burn Institute, Hospital 103, Viet Duc Hospital. The results show that product from her scientific project can be used to effectively treat grade 1, 2, 3 burns, long-term necrotic ulcers, skin lesions, and shortened treatment time to 10- 50% compared to conventional methods.<\/span><\/p>\n Dr. Thu Nguyen, Dr. Thao Tran, and Dr. Quy Hoang will receive research scholarships worth 150 million VND per person to continue their scientific research projects.
