For the first time, Vietnam has 3 universities named in this ranking which are Vietnam National University – Hanoi, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM)<\/em><\/strong> and Hanoi University of Science and Technology<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0In particular, VNU-HCM is in the top 401-500 and ranks first in Vietnam in the index of “knowledge transfer” (42.8 points) and reaches a high position in the “international outlook” index (40.6 points).<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/oisp.hcmut.edu.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/3-dai-hoc-vn-lot-top-500-truong-hang-dau-o-cac-nen-kinh-t.png” align=”center” _builder_version=”4.3.2″][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.3.2″]<\/p>\n Three Vietnamese universities for the first time have entered the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020 of the Time Higher Education (THE) magazine.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.27.4″ text_font=”Roboto||||||||” text_orientation=”justified” custom_margin=”0px||8px|” custom_padding=”0px||0px|” saved_tabs=”all”]<\/p>\n This year, THE has expanded its rankings to 533 schools in 47 countries from 4 continents (more than 442 schools from 43 countries in the previous year’s list). The Emerging Economies University Rankings includes only institutions in countries classified by the London Stock Exchange\u2019s FTSE Group as \u201cadvanced emerging\u201d, \u201csecondary emerging\u201d or \u201cfrontier\u201d. Although Vietnam belongs to a group of countries with marginal economies (according to FTSE), but no university in Vietnam has previously been ranked in this ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n The ranking of emerging economies’ universities uses the same index in THE Ranking of the World’s Best Universities, focusing primarily on the aspects of Teaching, Research, Transfer of Knowledge and International Images.
