(Other qualifications not listed above will also be considered for admission. The qualification must be issued less than 4 years from the date students submit the qualification to HCMUT)
- (required) English Proficiency: IELTS 4.5; or relevant;
Students are required to have the mentioned English certificate to apply for admission. Otherwise, students have to take Duolingo English Test and get at least 65 points. - (optional) English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0; or TOEFL iBT 79;
+ Under the situation that students are admitted to the University, students who do not have the mentioned English certificate will have to take the English Entrance Test on arrival at HCMUT and students may have to take English course(s) in the Pre-University semester.

what to submit?
Along with the online application form, students have to submit the following required documents so as for the University to proceed with applications for admission:
- International Passport (personal information page)
- High School Certificate/ Diploma
- High School Transcript (Mark sheets/ Academic Records of your studying)
- (optional) English Certificate & other relevant documents.

For the following international qualification, please kindly contact the test operator to send your electronic result to our HCMUT. Our University code for each qualification is listed here:

what if?
► High School result is lower than 65%, are there any alternatives?
YES, of course. If your high school result or equivalence is lower than 65% (and above 50%), then the applicant can take additional accredited international qualifications for admission.
► I have graduated from high school for more than 4 years?
When applicants graduate from high school for more than 4 years, their performance at high school may not reflect their current level of educational development due to gap years between the high school graduation and the present. Thus, applicants are required to supplement an accredited international qualification.
#Situation 1:
After your graduation from high school or equivalence, if you study higher, please send us proof of your higher studying (degrees, transcript…).
#Situation 2:
After your graduation from high school, if you go to work, please do the following:
- Send us your Curriculum Vitae, together with confirmation from your company about your employment.
- Attend and submit results of an accredited international qualification.
#Situation 3:
If you did nothing after High School, then please take an accredited international qualification and submit the result to us.
