Students who often keep track on students’ activities in HCMUT – OISP must know him. He often perfoms playing guitar and singing in HCMUT events with BOMB – Musical Club of OISP. His voice is beautiful which attracts all most all the students when performing. Not only he takes the responsibilities of BOMB Head of Communication Team, but also he plays a role of President of OISP Football Club, of which he was a founder. The OISP Football club has been supported by lots of HCMUT students.

Khoi Pham is performing at New School-year Opening Ceremony of HCMUT-OISP 2015.

Studying university in English with good result, participating in extra activities as a leader in 2 different clubs, this character is really a talent, or he must be too risky and over-daydreaming!!! Or is it the normal to see of students studying Business Administration?

However, most of his friends just know that he is a good students actively joining students’ activities. Hardly anyone knows things about him the time before.

Khoi is practicing playing new songs.

The time he went to Secondary School, he was a particular student. He found studying Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics just like studying language of the alien. Even worse than that, he used to have a thought of quit his school had pursue some “flashing” dreams. He wasn’t think of responsibilities of his own. Thanks to encouragement and support from the teachers, friends and family, he set his heart on “renovating” his self: “What I need to do now is just studying, if I don’t do it well, I had better go to hell.”

Family support plays an important roles in Khoi’s maturity.

When it came to the last year of Secondary School, he changed to a new school, and started over. “Starting over” didn’t mean only start studying knowledge of grade 12, but start learning things from the very first days going to school. New environment, new friends. It is a really hard time for him, who is really bad at maths and is always criticized by the teachers. He also suffered from being looked down on by his friends. Days by days, his shyness grew bigger until the day he performed his beautiful and undeniable voice in front of the whole school. He did win some students’ hearts and got notice then.

Be left far away behind, although he sometimes got bored and nursed a complex about his situation, he still kept his determination to study well: “I must pass the University Entrance Exam, for myself, for my parents’ pride in me”. When it was July 2014, it was the time to come for the University Entrance Exam. He successfully passed the exams and officially became HCMUT students studying Business Administration. He shared that even in his dream, he ever dreamed of a day studying in such a prestigious university like Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

“People say that “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch”, but I chose to “count my chickens” first (means saying that he would pass the Entrance Exam), so that I could try my best to prove my saying, to achieve my goal”.

That’s it. Khoi stepped into HCMUT with a difficult past, but he can feel how hard he tried to win the challenge. It’s not the end of a story, but just a starting for a new chapter in his life with more challenging objectives.
