EXCHANGE STUDENTS FROM EUROPE WITHIN AREAS PROGRAM

AREAS+ (Academic Relations between Europe and Asia) is an exchange program of Europe Union in order to increase the higher education quality through scholarships and collaborations between Europe and other countries over the world.

The program is sponsored by Europe Committee and managed by various prestigious universities and institutions of Europe and Asia partners including: Laos, Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Srilanka, Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia and Vietnam.

 

The project provides chance and scholarships for students, researchers, staffs in order to experience studying and researching environment at member universities at all academic levels: undergraduate, post graduate, doctor, postdoctor, etc.

With AREAS+ scholarships, an exchange group of 3 members from Europe will arrive at HCMC University of Technology for the exchange program in Business Studies and Civil Engineering.

The course will begin in the next semester and is expected to last for 6 months. The exchange group consists of 3 members:

  • Minttu M. Aarniovuori – from Finland, major in Business Administration
  • Paula G. Oliveras – from Spain, major in Business Administration
  • Galo P. Abad – from Spain, Master in Architecture

All these three students are the most outstanding candidates with lots of academic experience in their major field. Apart from their mother tounge, they can also use English and other languages such as French, Dennish, Catalan fluently.

In this trip, they all look for new and fascinating features in Vietnamese culture, cuisine, lifesyle and mindset to learn more about Asian culture and how to adapt to such a different perspective of life. Moreover, they also expect that their time at HCMUT can gain them precious knowledge and experience for their future career path
