Endress Hauser Training Center inaugurated at HCMUT

On the afternoon of November 9th, 2016, at building H6 (Thu Duc Campus), HCMUT & Endress+Hauser held an inauguration of the Endress+Hauser Training Center, which provides educational materials/ equipment for training students in Automation field.

Mr. Thomas Frank – Vietnam Director of Endress+Hauser Instrument International AG is making speeches.

Attending the occurrence, there were Mr. Othmar Hardegger – Swiss Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Thomas Frank – Director of Endress+Hauser in Vietnam, Mr. Camillo Di Palma – Sales Director of Endress+Hauser. From the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, there were Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh – Rector, Dr. Do Hong Tuan – Head of Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Dr. Le Thi Hong Hieu – Vice Head of External Relations Office, together with HCMUT lecturers, Endress+Hauser’s staff and representatives from corporations in Ho Chi Minh City.

Endress+Hauser, a Swiss corporation specializing in automation solutions to production processes, devotes to the principle of sustainable development stemming from innovation & education for future generations. In 2013, Endress+Hauser financed the Automation Department (Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering) with the experimental equipment of Industrial Process Measurements & Control which is worth 210,000 USD. This year, Endress+Hauser continues to finance 13,000 USD to help the HCMUT equip the facilities and move the equipment mentioned above to the room 101 at the H6 Building (Thu Duc campus).

The representatives are cutting the ribbon to inaugurate Endress+Hauser Laboratory at the H6 Building.

So, Endress+Hauser Lab at the H6 Building is the first laboratory to be established by corporations in Thu Duc campus. This brings students good opportunities to approach to modern & advanced experimental equipment which helps enhance the quality of educating & scientific researching. The establishment of Endress+Hauser will attracts industrial corporations for investment at the new campus of HCMUT in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Thanh sent his sincere thanks to Endress+Hauser’s investment. He believes that efforts from the University plus devotion of Endress+Hauser would make for the HCMUT a practical environment. Furthermore, the Rector also hopes both sides will have more collaborative projects in order to provide more practical benefits which may promote Automation application in Vietnam.
