That is the mutual question of freshmen of Business Administration for 3 special guests in the Business Administration Seminar held on 11 Sep 2014: Executive Producer of Unilever – Mr Le Van Nhiem, HR Director – Mrs Nguyen Lien Kha and representative of the Industrial Management department of HCMUT

HOW UNILEVER LOOKS FOR FUTURE LEADERS?

Mr Le Van Nhiem stated: everyman in the Unilever must always pioneer, holds integrity, enthusiasm, logical thinking, has a passion for learning new things, learning, leadership potential, namely the ability to plan, organize; soft skills such as rhetoric, to solve problems, develop ideas, etc. According to Unilever, there is a Leader Internship program, students will have 3 months trained in the work environment and an opportunity to become an official employee.

The director shared that students shouldn’t be so high of themselves when it came to college. They should be concentrating on studying just like they did when got accepted to universities.

VNG AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR FRESHMEN, JUNIORS AND SENIORS

Mrs Kha from VNG corp. shared that the average age for all employees of VNG is 28. The company has many programs for in-school students like VNG tour.

In their senior years, students may join VNG internship.

NEW STUDENT NEEDS TO BE PROACTIVE

As most businesses require experience upon recruiting, it is critical for students to join extra-curricular activities. Doing such activities would train the student with soft skills, problem solving, work in groups and active in work.
