Apart from the exhibition, competition among students’ projects, the festival was also the engineering playground for senior students, a day for them to meet up, exchange and demonstrate their creativity during the courses. Simultaneously, this activity created an open space promoting creativity and academicism, enabling students and lecturers to accumulate more knowledge, helpful experiential lessons.

Faculties also organize competitions and seminars for the students

This year, students from different faculties made use of their creativity to make typical design models for the majors such as hydroponic garden, automatic hatcher, humidity creator, aeroponic garden applying solar electricity, etc. Faculties also organize competitions and seminars for the students.

As far as it is announced, Engineering Festival was first organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 2001. At the same time, festival activities were connected with the activities of Technology Business Incubator with a view to sponsoring and commercializing ideas, scientific research products of the students.

Robot Design Competition was also held in the festival

Currently, the university is implementing an education program following CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate). Based on this, annually, the program is executed for students to form an idea, design, implement and operate. In the first year, students are given the chance to study “Introduction to Engineering” which emphasizes applying CDIO at a basic level. In the following years, students will look back at their achievements today to continue, adjust and improve self engineering ability to prepare for their future career. This is the university’s promise about ensuring education quality.
