HCMUT – Bach Khoa proactively participates in research, development, and technology application of Industry 4.0

On the afternoon of June 12nd at A4 Hall, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) collaborated with the HCMUT – Bach Khoa to organize the Seminar on Introduction of some achievements of the Program “Support for research, development, and technology application of Industry 4.0, Code KC-4.0 / 19-25” and orientation for the period of 2021-2025. 

At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy – Vice Chairman of Program KC-4.0 / 19-25 presented the objectives, content, and some achieved results. The objective of the Program is to research on the application, development, and transfer of the key technologies of Industry 4.0; create products for socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security; support to pilot innovation of some models of management, production – business in some key areas in the wave of digital transformation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Song Giang – Lecturer from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of HCMUT – Bach Khoa also presented the topic “Research on building flood warning system for big cities based on artificial intelligence and geographic information system, applied in Ho Chi Minh City”. Mr. Ly Hoang Tung – Deputy Director-General of the High Technology Department, MOST also presented some orientations for developing and applying artificial intelligence in Vietnam.

During the discussion, delegates and representatives of functional units of MOST also exchanged and contributed ideas in participating in the program, mechanisms to link paper research with reality, and the mechanism of resource mobilization to participate in the program.

In order to promote research applications, development, and transfer of some key technologies of Industry 4.0 in which Vietnam has the advantage to create products for socio-economic development, ensuring defense and security as well as piloting innovation of some models of corporate governance, production – business in some key areas in the direction of digital transformation, Ministry of Science and Technology (S&T); the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2813/QD-BKHCN on September 27th, 2018, approving the national key science and technology program for the period until 2025: “Supporting the research, development and technology application of Industry 4.0 ”, Code KC-4.0/19-25.
