3D scanner of DSELAB is localized 100% with high resolution and many modern features but lower price than other importing scanners
National key Laboratory of Digital Control and System Engineering (DCSELAB)-Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology successfully created 3D scanner with superior features and lower price compare to importing products from abroad.

Phan Huynh Lam ( Project Manager) said: “ The 3D scanner systems are used commonly worldwide, but their costs are very expensive. Therefore, I come up with the idea of making 3D scanner in Vietnam with lower price
Prof.Dr.Nguyen Thanh Nam – Director of DCSELAB said: “All parts of 3D scanner made by DCSELAB can be replaced much easier than foreign products (for example: Konica’s products), because almost hardwares are made from material in Vietnam.
MORE ADVANTAGES – COMPETITIVE PRICE
Mr. Phan Huynh Lam shared about advantages of 3D scanners in Vietnam: “Our products can scan more accurate than importing ones. They are the combination of rotating axis, translation and capacity of scanning without connections requirements. Therefore, 3D scanners can work well even in difficult conditions.
3D scanners have been researched since 2012 with total expense approximately 200 million vnd. Scanners “made in Vietnam” are just about 1/2 to 1/3 price of importing ones. In addiction, 3D scanners are maintained quickly because the replaceable equipment can be easily found in electrical shops
In the near future, DCSELAB will apply 3D scanners in plastic factories, mechanical factories to check and ensure product’s quality. Moreover, R&D department of DCSELAB is cooperating with many companies in Vietnam and 2 research groups in Taiwan and Korea for practical applications.
