HCMUT students launched Spring Volunteer Campaign 2016

Spring Volunteer Campaign is one of many HCMUT annual activities in spring. This year, 2016, is the 6thyear that HCMUT has conducted volunteer activities for students to participate with useful social security projects, and numerous of projects caring material and spiritual life for the poor, the people in remote area, especially the distant islands, archipelago…
Spring Volunteer Campaign 2016 of HCMUT takes place from January 7th to 26th with 700 volunteers scattering on 5 fronts:
- – Offering free buses and meals for students facing difficulties at Tet; cleaning up campus; informing students about job opportunities on occasion of Tet; celebrating Tet holiday in dorms for students who cannot come back to hometown at Tet.
- – Giving 300 presents for poor inhabitants and children in poor conditions; sending cards, gifts to on-duty-soldiers on islands, workers at Truong Sa archipelago construction.
- – Giving 50 presents for poor patients under treatment at hospitals, taking care for lonely patients; cooking spring meals at orphanages; giving gifts to orphan children.
- – Giving presents for pupils, students in remote area; holding musical performances for people there and making playground for the children.
- – Building a society security priority construction in Cang Long commune, Tra Vinh province.

It can be said that Spring Volunteer Campaign, along with others volunteer activities, not only helps students self-train their personality and morality but also creates chances for students to apply their knowledge in to reality, approach closer and closer to the real life related to their study majors, through which students are motivated to be more creative and interesting in their study, scientific research.
