HCMUT’s dorms – “3 star hotel”
Recently, three-star dorms of HCMUT, which is located at 469 Hoa Hao Street district 10, have been put in use. It cost HCMUT 120 billion VND to construct.
Our penetration on luxurious dorms began from parking bay. There is no handwritten motocycle_keeping card, no chalk. They have a machine help them with that.
The dorms is designed following U shape, so a large yard comes from that structure. With a lot of benches, verdure and cool space, students can relax and enjoy themselves.
Material facilities serving students’ studying needs and activities such as the library with 100 seats and 10 computers connected internet, local area network free of charge, internal telephone directly linked all rooms and dorm supervisor’s; a computer room with 140 items, dining room, pasteurized drinking-water system, versatile gym, ATM, slot machine…
In private room, every student has own study corner and every storey has general hall with LCD TV. Especially, there are a living-room accommodating 60 people, 2 guest-rooms with capacity of 16 for students’ relatives and friends to stay with only 30.000 vnd/person/a day.
Once stepping into the dorm, I’ve feel the cool, clean, modern atmosphere and the unmistakable joy in every student as if they have been in a high-class apartment.
Every year, the amount of student in HCMUT is approximately 17.000 and the accommodation of the dorm can be able to cater for 2.456 students, therefore it’s very lucky for people who could get one space.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha Suong, a sophomore majoring in School of Industrial Management said: “Wonderful. In the past, when I rent a room, the rent is equal, but…”. Tran Tuong Luan, a junior in Faculty of Chemistry Technology shared: “Since moving in the dorm, I have more time and space for studying, besides, I can play sport and do exercise also…”
“This is a modern dormitory and completely separate from The University. Every chamber is well-equipped with closet, bed and private study corner. Students are taken good care ”said by PhD Mai Phan Dinh – Director of The Dormitory
