 ► UTS – Changing to leading

During the visit to Ho Chi Minh City University of TechnologyUniversity of Technology Sydney(UTS, Australia) had a meeting with students and awarded for 04 excellence performances in University Entrance Exam of 2015.

The students are Vu Thanh Long, Phong Thieu Hon, Huynh Trong Hieu, Luu Tien Dat. They are all studying Mechanical Engineering. The prize for each of the student was 01 Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 32GB to help them study better and entertain as well.

Including in the meeting, the three representatives of UTS, Professor Ian Burnett – Head of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), Professor Eryk Dutkiewicz – Head of School of Computing and Communications, and Dr. Diep Nguyen – FEIT Lecturer had sharing information related to facilities, study schedule, scholarship policy, campus activities, part-time job, etc., through which students can hve an overall view of the university that they may want to transfer to in their 02 final years.

Professor Eryk Dutkiewicz – Head of School of Computing and Communications – is introducing UTS to students.

Though it’s a university with a less than 30 years of history, UTS has attained great achievement for education system and high-quality labor market of Australia. According to QS Ranking and Times Higher Education (2015), UTS is leading the top universities under 50 years of foundation in Australia. Also, following the two ranking systems respectively, UTS is ranked globally 14th and 21st.

Undoubtedly, more than 76% of UTS students are employed after graduating, 10% of that has higher  salary than the general one.

At the meeting, students had a lot of concerns about study schedule, scholarship policy and part-time job in Sydney.

Study programs of UTS are certified by Engineers Australia (member of Washington Accord). Following that, students graduating from UTS with Engineering degree are recognized in many developed countries such as New Zealand, USA, Canada, Russia, Turkey, Ireland, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

University of Technology Sydney is in educational association with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering andMechatronic Engineering. According to that, students studying the first 02 years at HCMUT (in English), can transfer to study 02 final years in UTS and the bachelor degree is awarded by UTS.
