SEMINAR 1: USE YOUR FACEBOOK WITH RESPONSIBILILY

Facebook is the most popular social network with more than 1.15 billion users including 89% users in the age from 18 to 29 (according to Search Engine Journal 2015 ).

Since 2005, Facebook has become one of the best way for private communication in Vietnam. Numbers of Facebook users in 2015 increased 50% compared the 2014 and Vietnamese spend from 2 to 2.5 hour everday to use social network.

The development of social network helps connecting people, self-expressing characteristics and expanding knowledge.

However, if users especially young people use social network in the wrong way, there will a risk of losing more than what they receive. For example, using Facebook too much leads to distraction in studying, less  involving in social activities.

There are many examples of using facebook cause conflict for users and lead to fight resolve, children curse their parents, their friends on facebook, bullying, irrespective of caste and so on.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology organizes the seminar 1 “How to use facebook responsibly” with the aim to provide students with knowledge of using facebook and secure personal information on social network. The seminar is held by MA. Giang Ngoc Phuong – expert in life skills, he is currently working for Muc Tim Newspaper as Online Business Development Manager.
