There is one month before the day of defending the thesis, but Vu Huy Hoang (a student of Bach Khoa University) and his partner had a graduation project published in the scientific journal RSC Advances (UK).

The topic of Hoang applied super-convenient nanoparticles from CuFe2SO4 catalyzed into Este reaction with 89% efficiency, high recovery ability of catalyst after the reaction, stable catalyst, and stable activation. This study has many applications for making new materials, especially in pharmaceutical chemistry.

The topic consists of five authors who are masters and students at our school, and Hoang is in charge of the final content to test the groups.

“Before I went to the lab, I almost didn’t experiment much. Six months of work here helped me to inherit and learn from my teachers, my friends, and my partners. This is the process of isolating and refining nearly 30 groups which are very difficult and easily depressed. The content I’m in charge of both inherits and it is also independent of the previous content, requires a lot of funding and time. The effort and lucky helped me finish the project soon ”- Hoang shared.

According to Prof. Phan Thanh Son Nam – the Head of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, instructor of the topic, Huy Hoang is the first case of the Faculty having the thesis results published in the international scientific journal RSC Advances (serial number 8 / December 2017) belongs to the ISI category when having not graduated.

Expressing joy on a personal page about achievements of students, Prof. Nam wrote: “In fact, in the field of experimental chemistry, the fact that students have been named in the ISI article when they have not graduated is almost impossible.

According to Nguyen Lac Ha – Typical young citizen of Ho Chi Minh City 2016, the youngest Doctor of Bach Khoa University, is currently the research ambassador at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia), “the magazine has an impact number index 3.2 – where not many biochemical researchers in Vietnam are accepted to publish here. From the perspective of university students, this is a good achievement. ”

With the aim of studying abroad, Hoang has strived to contribute an international scientific article, he is also cultivating English and Germany to make his study abroad dream more convincing.
