On September 25, 2017, International Students and Electrical-Electronics students in Advanced Program (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology), had a tour to Renesas Vietnam Corporation (RVC) at Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone (District 7, HCMC).
At 08:15 AM, we were impressed by the company’s premises with a modern, spacious working building, filled with greenery. Our tour guide was Mr. Thang Le – Director of Hardware Technology, K2004 Computer Science.
RVC is currently the world’s leading supplier of semiconductor, microprocessor, and software. RVC’s headquarters are located in Tokyo (Japan) and its branch network covers Asia, EU, and North America. RVC’s partners are the world’s leading technology corporations such as Mitsubishi, Canon, Toyota …
RVC’s operating areas are spread in many areas such as automotive, industrial electronics / industrial / home electronic, information and communication technology (OA / ICT). This means, not only Electrical – Electronics students but also Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electronic Engineering have opportunities.
Next, Mr. Thang introduced in detail the hardware production process from design to product processing, the process of forming ideas and steps to create high-performance software. Reportedly, the mistake rate of product in RVC is extremely low: 0.2%.
During the tour, we had an opportunity to observe the environment, the working atmosphere of the engineers and engineers. Here are spacious and comfortable rooms, each equipped with desktop and laptop, meeting the needs of work and research on the spot. RVC also equips sports gyms such as table tennis, swimming, athletics, helping staff to train physically after stressful working hours.
