HCMUT COOPERATE WITH THE AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (AUT) IN NEW ZEALAND

The delegation of Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City, in which our university (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – HCMUT) is a member, had visits to universities in Australia and New Zealand in the second week of March 2019.

During our visit, on the morning of March 13, 2019, HCMUT-Bach Khoa signed an agreement in cooperation with Auckland University of Technology (AUT). This signing ceremony had the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, the HCMUT Rector; Dr. Dang Dang Tung, Head of Office for International Study Programs of HCMUT; Prof. Derek McCormack, the AUT Rector; and Deans of the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies; Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law; Faculty of Culture and Society of AUT.

After the ceremony, the two universities will consider and promote cooperation in research, exchange programs, and 2+2 programs in the field of Computer Science and Creative Technology. Particularly, the two universities agreed to promote the development of 4 + 0 programs which lecturers from both AUT and HCMUT will lecture 100% in English at HCMUT, and students will be granted Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science by the AUT.

The AUT is located in Wellesley street – the center of the city of rising-sun, Auckland, New Zealand. This is the largest and most dynamic city in New Zealand with a comfortable climate. The city is also voted and granted a rank in the top 5 most ideal cities in the world to live and work. The AUT currently has 03 campuses: AUT City Campus (Wellesley Street, Auckland Central), AUT North Campus (Northcote), AUT South Campus (Manukau).
