OISP Bach Khoa STUDENTS RECEIVED AMCHAM SCHOLARSHIP 2019
They are: Tran Ngoc Minh Thu – Computer Science, Tran Minh Khoa – Electrical – Electronics Engineering, Nguyen Thanh Binh – Chemical Engineering and Nguyen Hoai Tan – Petroleum Engineering, all are K2016.

The AmCham Scholarship Program was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (AmCham) with a view to looking for high-quality human resources for member companies as well as preparing students with necessary skills before coming into a professional working environment.
19th year of organizing, AmCham scholarship has awarded 60 scholarships to students from 19 universities all around Ho Chi Minh City. This time, HCMUT Bach Khoa had 10 students receiving the scholarship: 4 OISP students and 6 students from the Vietnamese program.
All four representatives from BK-OISP are excellent, dynamic individuals in studying, scientific researching, extra-curriculum activities.
– Tran Ngoc Minh Thu (K2016 – Computer Science), a member of Easy Location team which won the first prize in Bach Khoa Innovation 2018 (link)
– Nguyen Hoai Tan (K2016 – Petroleum Engineering) with a GPA of 9.13, IELTS 7.5, who is selected to be an intern at multinational petroleum corporation Schlumberger right when he was a junior.
– Tran Minh Khoa (K2016 – Electrical – Electronics Engineering) received TP SCALE 2018 scholarship to be an exchanged student in Singapore.
– Nguyen Thanh Binh (K2017 – Chemical Engineering) with a GPA of 9.09, IELTS 7.5, Second Prize at OISP Presentation Contest 2017, Project Executive of TeamX HCMC – non-profit organizations about innovative mindset for the young
AmCham Scholarship Program required candidates to have a GPA higher than 7 (over 10), fluent English, proactive in extra-curriculum activities with clear career orientation, was junior and senior of the full-time program. The assessment period lasts for 3 months with many information-exchanging activities, strict interview from the organizers in order to select the most suitable scholarship owners.
In return, students who received AmCham scholarship are offered many practical benefits such as 12 million dong in cash, ability recognition and internship opportunities from 500 AmCham member companies (almost all are the leading multinational corporations working in Vietnam), etc.
