HCMUT – Bach Khoa welcoming the Embassy of Japan to Hanoi

On the afternoon of June 4th, 2020, HCMUT – Bach Khoahas welcomed and worked with the representative of the Embassy of Japan in Hanoi, led by Ms. Chuman Ai – Second Secretary in charge of Education, Cultural Committee, Embassy of Japan.

Accompanying the group of representatives, there were Ms. Huynh Vu Hien – Assistant to the Culture Department; Mr. Hagiwara – Chief Representative of JASSO Vietnam Office; Ms. Huynh Thuy Nguyen – JASSO Vietnam Office Officer; Mr. Shiraishi – Representative of Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City. Welcoming the group, we had Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao – Vice President and administers of the faculties, departments, and lecturers of the university.

In regards to the purpose of this visit, the Embassy of Japan would like to learn about the education of partner programs between HCMUT – Bach Khoa and Japanese universities/research centers. By doing so, there will be particular proposals for further relationship development between 2 parties.

In addition, the Embassy of Japan also provides information about Japanese scholarships, especially the Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT Scholarship) in 2021. JASSO Vietnam representatives also provided information about the scholarships for students and lecturers of HCMUT – Bach Khoa, and also informed that the scholarship addresses were authenticated by Japan to avoid cases of frauds causing damage to students and lecturers of the University.

Today’s working session will open up many opportunities for students and lecturers in academic exchange, scientific research between the University and Japan as well as signing documents for many upcoming partnership programs.
