Consulate General of Japan joining in closing ceremony of JFE Lecture Series.

On the afternoon of November 13, Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Junichi Kawaue paid a visit to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) Bach Khoa to take part in the closing ceremony of JFE Lecture Series for the Development of Steel Structure Engineers course for 30 students of intake 4 at Room 202 A4 Building. Attending this ceremony were the board of directors from JFE Steel Corporation, Osaka University (Japan) and HCMUT Bach Khoa.

The “JFE Lecture Series for the Development of Steel Structure Engineers” course was established by JFE Steel Corporation (The second-largest steel manufacturer group in Japan) and Office for International Study Programs (OISP) – HCMUT Bach Khoa. The course aims to improve students’ knowledge about steel structure, also to encourage students to pay more attention to Japanese technology and be ready to use made-in-Japan products in the future.

At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao affirmed that the closing ceremony continued to strengthen the long-term collaboration and sustainable development between JFE Corporation and HCMUT Bach Khoa. Thanks to this, the close cooperation between Japan and Vietnam is enhanced.

The Japan side is working on an assessment of the final report from the students to pick out outstanding representatives to receive a one-month internship in Japan. Moreover, the top 10 students will have the opportunity to visit and take a tour around Japanese companies of JFE Group in Vietnam in 2020.
