Product name: Shareapy – Digitized Support Group

Product description: “Shareapy is an application that helps bring people together who share similar problems regardless of their age, gender, religion, financial status, etc. In addition, it is a one-way interactive community where people can release emotions and stress either privately or publicly without the fear of shame or discrimination.”

DSC – HCMUT had a small talk with the team to get to know more about their ideas of “Shareapy” and its precious journey with such a global contest.

Q: Please have a few words about your project.

A: In recent years, a lot of applications that support the needs of materials, utilities, and entertainment have been introduced to the public. However, mental health issues have not received enough amount of attention. Therefore, we created “Shareapy,” a user-friendly online mental model of a support group application.

Q: The competition took place during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, so how did you work together?

A: We work together 100% online, via Figma and Google Meet. From the beginning, our team clearly divided the tasks, keeping it up to date so we can support each other when needed. However, due to the urgent time and lockdown, we had to cope with the lack of human resources, and consumers were unable to test the product. But in the end, the group united. We got to enhance each member’s strengths and have finally achieved the success today.

Q: Please give some advice to those who intend to take part in the Solution Challenge next year.

A: The most important thing is to manage time well. Downtime must not be available. Besides, you always need to research and study carefully all aspects of the problem, a small elaboration can also make a big difference.

A big congratulations to 4 talents with their exciting “Shareapy” project!
