In stead of calling this a business visiting like usual, we name this a field trip for the scenery of this place: filled with green trees and peace

In the string of workshops and meetings for International Study Program students, held by OISP – HCMUT, our favorite is the fieldtrip to Thu Duc Waterplant (2 Le Van Chi, Linh Trung, Thu Duc).

The place is considered the reservoir of life of HCMC, as it handles more than 750,000 m3 water/ day from the Dong Nai River, met more than 80% of the water need of the habitat (including 300,000 m3/day processed by Thu Duc BOO Waterplant.

Altogether with Tan Hiep Waterplant, Binh An Waterplant and other Waterplant, 1,538,000 m3 is supplied daily.

Water processing

The water source of Dong Nai river goes through tens of processing stages to become clean product for usage. Having witnessed part of the process, we felt more concerned. Scientifically, if 100l is the total amount of water in this planet, only half a spoon is usable fresh water. Apart from being introduced water processing treatment, we also got to know the development strategies of the Thu Duc Waterplant.
