HCMUT BACH KHOA MAKES HAND SANITIZER TO PREVENT 2019-nCoV

In response to the situation of lack of hand sanitizer on the market, on February 2, 2020, a team of lecturers and students of Organic Chemistry Technology – Faculty of Chemical Engineering of HCMUT Bach Khoa has prepared hand sanitizer for university officials and students to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.

The team has prepared hand washing gels, including: Instant Hand Sanitizer and Surface Sanitizer Spray which help cleans and antibacterial quickly without using water and Antibacterial Hand Wash, which is used to wash & disinfect hands with water. Currently, the group has dispensed over 200 liters to equip at key locations of the university such as staircase area, meeting rooms, reception rooms, classrooms… Particularly, bottles of 50 and 100ml size are used to support for faculty members of the school.

In addition to equipping and supporting hand-washing, disinfecting sprays for teachers, students, the prevention of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of coronavirus by promoting extensive propaganda, such as organizing classroom cleaning, bus transportation for lecturers, dormitories and other positions of both campuses.

The products are prepared for internal circulation in the school.

Particularly at the dormitory, starting from Sunday afternoon 02/02/2020, BK Dorm set up a medical checkpoint for students entering the dormitory, measuring body temperature with non-contact temperature measuring device. If students have a fever, they cannot enter the dormitory, unless they have a medical record issued by the district health authority, which confirms the illness and is not related to the Corona epidemic.
