HCMUT – Bach Khoa lecturer: 3 invention awards in 2020

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son – Lecturer of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, HCMUT – Bach Khoa) has received 3 6th Ho Chi Minh City invention awards 2019-2020 by the Ministry of Science and Technology on May 27th.

Ho Chi Minh City Invention Award this year attracted a lot of technical solutions from individuals and organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, there are many inventions that are highly applicable, making practical contributions to life.

At the awards ceremony, 08 outstanding inventions, feasible applications that help improve people’s lives and contribute to economic development were selected. In particular, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son won 3 prizes (01 second prize, 01 third prize, and 01 consolation prize). His winning inventions include: Noodle manufacturing equipment including water powder extrusion; Equipment for producing round-shaped rice paper; Automatic rice paper maker.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Son said that the winning inventions this year vary across a wide range of fields. Currently, he has made 15 different inventions that were registered to contribute to business development and improve the quality of human life. All of his inventions will be commercialized and technology transferred to individuals and businesses in Vietnam.
