OISP Community Day & Presentation Contest 2019 is one of the most important special events in Pre-University semester in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT – Bach Khoa). This is a presentation contest about community project targeting at Bach Khoa freshmen.

OISP Community Day & Presentation Contest 2019 attracted the participation of 152 community projects from 34 soft-skills classes, 890 students and 70 instructors.

Attending OISP Community Day & Presentation Contest 2019, the student got the chance to present and express their concern about social issues. Each team exhibited its products and debated with others to find out the 2019 winner.

– Awards: A Study Tour in Thailand for 5 best teams

After more than 3 months of the Pre-University semester, students got to learn more skills and achieved massive results such as more than 33 million dong of donation, 100 kg of rice, 400 books, 100 notebooks, more than 900 hats and raincoats. All donated items were directly handed over to Center for Social Protection and the under-privileged.

Moreover, the students also planted 30 trees and instructed children at Ky Quang temple how to protect the environment. The pot used for plant was made of recycled plastic bottles. They also managed to sell 4000 grass straws to encourage people to use eco-friendly products. That was the first step of trying of all lectures, teaching assistants and students in Soft-skills classes.
