OPENING CEREMONY OF HCMUT – NUT OFFICE AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

The signing ceremony of the agreement upon establishing the representative office of Nagaoka University of Technology was successfully organized at A4 Hall, B6 building, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HCMUT – Bach Khoa) in the morning of 2019, July 15th.

The representative office was established aiming to promote educational cooperation, student exchange for studying, researching, internship and working opportunities in Japanese corporates.

The inauguration ceremony of representative office for Nagaoka University of Technology was in honor of welcoming representatives from Consulate of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, head masters and representatives from faculties of the two universities, along with 14 Japanese and Vietnamese companies in Information Technology, Production & Manufacturing and Environment sectors. This was a great chance for attended parties to establish contact and create further cooperation in the future.

The ceremony was held in honor of welcoming the representatives from the Consulate of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, Rectors and representatives from faculties of the two universities, along with 14 Japanese and Vietnamese companies in Information Technology, Production & Manufacturing and Environment sectors. This was a great opportunity for attended parties to establish relationship and create further cooperation in the future.

Nagaoka University of Technology is intimate partner of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in Japan Intensification Program in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering. Japanese Intensification Program is a jointly established program between Nagaoka University of Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology lectured only in Vietnamese. The program lasts for 4.5 years, within the first 2.5 year, students study in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology about general knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Chemicals and Electrical, Electronic Engineering. At the same time, from the 12th month of the first year, students start to learn Japanese continuously in 5 semesters in weekday evenings. For the last 2 year, students will study in Nagaoka University of Technology with Japanese curriculum (delivered in Japanese), divided into 3 branches: Energy, Electromagnetic wave equipment and Information Technology.

 

Nagaoka University of Technology was established in 1976, located in Nagaoka City, Niigata Province, which is 300km from Tokyo to the North West. Nagaoka University of Technology is one of the two leading national university of technology in Japan. 91% of students with master degree here is employed, which is the highest employment rate in Japan, and has the longest internship period in Japan (5-6 months) whereas 6.3% of them levels up to Doctor Degree.
