PART II: GROUP WORK AND PRESENTATION STYLE

THE MUSEUM OF INDUSTRY AND TECHNOLOGY

My deepest impression of Japan would be the museum of industry and technology of Nagoya. Firstly heard of the name, I hardly have a concept of bulky, old rusted machine with lengthy annotations

However, the reality has made me surprised

Before my eyes was the hundreds of engines, machinery equipment that are extremely realistic. Besides recreated footage and operation of machines, we also witnessed the staff launching, operating machines that produces fabric, cloths…

Before my eyes was the hundreds of motivated, dynamic equipment.

We can even see how each and every machine work. Interestingly, next to the main hall, there is a shop for specimens that produced by the machines in the Museum

Two hours in the Museum seems to be not enough for us to explore all the wonders in this place.

From the power house to theatres, to the more sophisticated machines, from steam-powered engines to the first environmental friendly buses, from the giant machines to the robot that play the violin. They all represent a progression of the history of the birth and development of the Toyota Corporation-one of the key foundations of the massive industry in Japan.

Two hours in the Museum seems to be not enough for us to explore all the wonders in this place.

GROUP WORK AND PRESENTATIONS STYLE

As before, based on individual subjects, we were divided into different group to prepare for a small presentation. There are 7 topics, of which our is “Future City”

I don’t know how it works in other teams, but in my teams, there are several obstacles: every team discuss in their own without discussing the main topic. Even though I have tried to encourage and suggest but all to no avail.

There are some negative sides to all group: don’t have uniforms, talk in their own language, the topic is not congruent, doesn’t have good management on time.

However, each country has their own humor

Overall, Japanese students are quite passive because of language barriers, Indonesian students do good listening, the Malaysians didn’t want to join. Everyone has interesting ideas but doesn’t want to listen to others and can’t manage time

SOBBING

A week in the country the cherry blossoms, a week to access to the beauty of different cultures in the world, a week in the world of new era technology, a week with wonders

Immerse in delight, overwhelmed in the magic of science and technology in the world at the moment, the world seems to be no longer circular, seemed to have gone flat out on a stage. No language barriers, not religious differences, only the urge of the heart, of desire to learn and love.

Yet, in a moment of looking up at the sky filled with scattered stars, I miss the S-shaped silhouette trade body, the people, the sounds of Vietnam

Only now am I able to understand the heart of those who must live far from home. Put your hands on your throbbing chest, every moment we look up to our country – Vietnam. Because “there is only one home, one mother..”
