AUTO-PILOT DEVICE BY HCMUT STUDENTS

 The device is named Quadrotor, consists of two aluminium in the middle crossing by rive nails across a sheet of plastics ưith the circuit on it.

Four wings and motor connected to the aluminium sticks and 4 plastics balls are also included.

The main circuit is energized upon Li-Po 11.1 battery. The circuit connects power cords and can withstand the high line from 50 – 80 amperes, ensure enough sources for all four engines.

According to Truong Dinh Quang, the device has the advantage of small in size, therefore easier to take off and fly.

“Using wings, the device is trong in pushing, able to carry mutltiples of its weight. It works as a miniature helicopter, needs no runway and has great stalbility”

Quadrotor can be used for security in large and multiple areas, useful in emergency with fire.

Now, the device is still manual. Pham Huu Nhan and his mate are on their way to automate it.

Mr Phan Dinh The Duy – head of Renesas SuperH Lab (Computer Science & Technology Department) stated:”This is one of the most outstanding projects in the recent years. Quadrotor is equipped with hi-tech sensors made by the students”

Quadrotor won the Second Prize for Creative Festival 2011.

At university level, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology is operating the Computer Science and Technolgy program in the model of English program 4 + 0

 

The curriculum is entirely in English, quality proved by National University and partner schools in USA, Australia, Japan.

 

The program is designed and built learner – centered, helps creativity, expertise, 2nd language (English/Japanese) and adapt easily to international environment.

 

Graduates will receive degree by English Program degree by HCMUT.
