AUTOMATIC RAIN FILTER BY HCMUT STUDENTS

The device has just won the Gold medal for Practical Inventions for Youths of HCMT in the Creative Festival operated by the BOD of HCMUT.
His ideas accelerated in early Jan 2014, the National TV Chanel VTV held a program about the benefit may be gained from the abundant amount of rain water. Japanese has already applied some technology on this to save millions of dollars each year, etc.
With this project, Cuong and An wanted to use the wasted rain water in HCMUT ( up to 1900mm) to provide the water -depriving areas.
After 1 year planning, they brought out the project under the supervision of Mr Tran Dai Nguyen, vice rector of Mechanical Department – HCMUT. The budget was 2.5 million VND from the researching fund of the school altogether with their own money.
It took them 4 years to complete the machinery which can provide water for 5-7 people to use all year around. The machine is entirely automatic.
The machine is quite small in size
Mr Tran Dai Nguyen said: “They had the idea from very early on, and it was bold. They didn’t require us to made them do projects”

They intend to go to Di An – Binh Duong of HCMUT to firstly test.
