BACH KHOA STUDENTS AND FIRST PRIZE IN NATIONAL ENGLISH OLYMPIAD 2019
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) Bach Khoa – VNU HCMC student group excellently won first prize of Southern area at Final round of English Olympiad 2019 – E4US Contest 2019 on October 24 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities HCMC.
At the final round of E4US Contest 2019 for Southern area, 5 teams from Dong Thap University, PetroVietNam University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU HCM, VNU HCM School of Medicine gave excellent performances with enthusiastic support from teachers and volunteers.

After 3 rounds: introduction, knowledge and public speaking about the topic “Students’ roles in sustainable development”, UTEC – student group from HCMUT Bach Khoa excellently won the first prize and the chance to advance to National Final round which will be organized at Hanoi National University in November 2019.

As announced, this year National English Olympiad was organized with expanded scale, targeted at students from universities, institutes, colleges teaching English as a major, it attracted 55 teams from universities nationwide. Apart from creating opportunities to meet, discuss and exchange foreign language study experience and enhance understanding among students from universities nationwide, the contest also encouraged students to learn and practice English. Especially, from the topic of the contest, students have chances to voice their opinions upon social concerned problems, recommend ideas, solutions to contribute to society, the country.
