Chonbuk National University (Republic of Korea) students and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology are wearing Ao Dai – Vietnamese Traditional Clothes.

In the morning of June 6th¬, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology warmly welcomed professors and students from Chonbuk National University. Coming to HCMUT this time, Professor Kim Chong Yeal (Nuclear Physics & History of Physics, Ph.D.), Dr. Jung-mook Jo – Senior resercher at New & Renewable Energy Research Center of CBNU, and Mr. Yong-sik Ju – Head of Administration Office of CBNU, lead the group of 22 students.

To greeting CBNU representatives, Dr. Dang Dang Tung – Vice Director of Office for International Study Programs (OISP)Ms. Nguyen Le Thi – Manager of Mobility Department at OISP, and Ms. Hoang Le Van Anh – Assistant Manager of Mobility Department of OISP, send warm speech, along with introducing HCMUT to CBNU professors and students.

The cultural activities are interesting and various, which is expected to bring valuable experiences and memories to both Korean and Vietnamese students joining in the program.

HCMUT officers and students will host most of the activities to introduce basically Vietnamese culture to Korean friends. Particularly, HCMUT has been preparing carefully for the program with activities:

  • Introducing traditional food on Tet Holidays and guiding how to wrap Bánh Chưng (Glutinous Rice Cake).
  • Introducing Vietnamese traditional clothes – Áo Dài, and invite Korean friends to Áo Dài performance show.
  • Introducing some Vietnamese traditional hand-crafts and guiding how to make some of the hand-crafts.
  • Introducing some Vietnamese ordinary food and guiding Korean friends to make Gỏi Cuốn (Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls)
  • Visiting historical site in Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel
  • Da Lat Cultural Tour: visiting Organic Farm, joining in Gong Festival and enjoying the cuisine of K’ho ethnic group.

CBNU students also host some activities such as Taekwondo performances, K-Pop performances and teaching, exchanging traditional games, etc.
