HCMUT Achieved High Prizes in National Mathematics and Physics Olympiad 2016

HCMUT Physics Selection Team at the Close Ceremony of National Physics Olympiad 2016.

Specifically, in the National Physics Olympiad 2016 (21 – 24 April 2016) at Duy Tan University (Da Nang City), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Vietnam National University) has achieved the Team First Prize, 03 First Prizes of Multiple-choice Section, 02 First Prizes of Experiment Section, and 02 Consolation Prizes of Problem Solving Section.
This year competition attracted more than 400 students from 43 Universities, 3 Institutes, 3 Colleges over the nation participating. The contest was co-operatively held by Vietnam Physics Association, Vietnam Central Communist Youth Union, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology associations, Vietnam Central Student Association, Ministry of Education and Training and Duy Tan University.

At the same time, HCMUT also got another good news that HCMUT Mathematics Selection Teamachieved 03 First Prizes, 04 Second Prizes, 01 Third Prize of Algebra, and 04 Second Prizes of Mathematical Analysis in the National Mathematics Olympiad 2016 (11 to 16 April 2016) at Quy Nhon University. This is the biggest contest ever (94 team participated and 795 contestants) with positive changes in both format and content of the competition.

The National Mathematics Olympiad 2016 was cooperatively organized by Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Vietnam Mathematical Society, and Student Association.

Academic contests are such traditional activities which help enhance teaching and learning quality; give opportunities to students to connect and socialize with one another; educating, training and specializing talents in basic sciences for the country.
