The Adidas’ scholarship handover ceremony to students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach khoa) (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) took place in the morning of 19 April 2018 at B11 Hall in the suburb campus.

Attended at the ceremony were Mrs. Karen Atherton – Senior CEO of Textile Industry; Mr. Eike Michaelis – Senior CEO of Sport Accessories; Mr. Vũ Từ – Senior Head of Department of Society and Environment; Mrs. Bình Lê – Senior Head of Department of HR Management; Mrs. Đoan Nguyễn –Senior Head of Department of Environment; Mrs. Tâm Nguyễn (Head of Production Promotion Office / Textile industry); Mr. Sơn Trần – Director of Production Promotion Division /Textile Industry; Mrs. Thy Bùi – Senior Executive Head of Sport Accessory Division and other staff of HR Management Department. Meanwhile, representing Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology were Dr. Võ Đại Nhật – Vice Director of External Relations Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Mai Hương – Head of Textile Engineering Department of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and approximately 100 students of the University.

At the ceremony, a representative of HR Management Division gave a brief introduction about the Adidas including business, production, HR, working environment; at the same time, sharing working experiences with students as well as answering to inquiries posed by students… Established in 1920 by Mr. Adolf Dassler, the Adidas has its headquarter located in Herzogenaurach in Germany. Currently, the Adidas sports clothing is one of the most popular names among Vietnamese given its products for professionals and young people with street fashion styles. 

Over years, the Adidas has been with students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach khoa) (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology), been giving the sponsor programs and scholarships… The scholarship program in 2017 with the theme focusing on ideas and products towards sustainable development and environment protection attracted 46 student team projects to join. As a result, 5 students passed three rounds of screening to be winners. Four out of the five winners were students majoring in Textile Engineering of Bach Khoa while the other came from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

In 2018, the students Hồ Phúc Thịnh, Lê thị Hương Thịnh, Phan Ngọc Hưng and Vũ Thị Huệ (from Textile Engineering, intake 2015) with the total values of one academic year tuition fees and one year tuition fees to attend English classes at ILA – English language training organization.
