Tan has been always a student with good studying quality, science research and assembly enthusiasm. It’s not a surprise when Tan receives the Silver Medal at the Graduate Ceremony.

Some of highlights during the course of Mai Ho Duy Tan:

+ Cumulative grade point average (GPA) 8.58; thesis score 9.44 and graduate GPA 8.47 (Good rated)
+ First Prize at the Techcamp Uni 2014
+ Strong student appellation – Record of the students of HCMUT 2014.
+ Prospects price at the Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge Vietnam MCU Design Contest 2014.
+ Silver medal at the Designing and Fabricating, Applying II – 2014 at the Creative Youth Festival 2014 with the fire alarm and auto fire rescue CC Robot (with Nguyen Van Hoa Vu – a K11 International Program student)

Condition required to receive the Silver Medal of HCMUT:

  • Graduating on time
  • Scoring in the top 10 students with the highest GPA in a major
  • Thesis score reaches 8/10 or upper.
  • Training point reaches excellence or good mark. Not receiving any form of discipline in study time at school.
  • The unqualified subjects (retest, restudy) accounting for under 5% of total credits during the course

On Friday, 06/11/2015, Mai Ho Duy Tan will be honored with the Silver Medal at the Graduation Ceremony of HCM City University of Technology. The program will start in Hall A5 at 7a.m.

In the consecutive years, the International Program had students graduated with medals:

• Dinh Quang Thinh, students K09, Gold Medal in 2013, led the Department of Electrical Engineering – Electronics
• Doan Nguyen Khai, students K10, Gold Medal in 2014, led the Department of Electrical Engineering – Electronics
• Mai Ho Duy Tan, students K11, Silver Medal 2015.

Advanced formal program is a national project of the Ministry of Education and Training to build 10 high-quality training programs with reference to the programs of the prestigious universities in the world, applied to key universities in Vietnam.

In Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Advanced program is being implemented for the electricity industry – Electronics. Content is transferred from the entire training program in Electrical – Electronics is operating in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) – top 11 best public universities America (according to US News & World Report 2015).
