Vietnamese voice recognition IC – iHear Tech
On December 16th afternoon, at the meeting room of Electrical and Electronic Faculty occurred the primary inspection test of the governmental priority science and industry project: “Research in designing soft and hard IP cores, inventing Vietnamese voice recognition IC, and inventing vocal device supporting handicapped” – project ID: KC.01.23/11-15, instructed by Assoc. Prof. PhD. Hoang Trang.
Through operation, the project has met the given objectives: proactively design Vietnamese voice recognition IC; develop device, system specializing in communicating with people – Vietnamese vocal device helping handicapped; educate IC designers…
According to that, the project has some products exceed the goals, and standard of Ministry of Science & Technology: Vietnamese voice recognition IC; portable device, system that help the handicapped to communicate – 2 ways Vietnamese vocal device;“Research in designing Vietnamese voice recognition IC, and inventing vocal device supporting handicapped” report; a layout (mask) with project ID; computer voice sample program fully packed; Voice system which exceed the quality of the similar system in pursuant of ITU – P.800 standard.
The project has some products exceed the goals, and standard of Ministry of Science & Technology.
The project has been published on 12 science and technology magazines, specialized conference. It was not only published as reference books, and has been using as material for training Masters and 2 Doctors (including one fellow in Australia), but also registered Intellectual Property for 7 products. With the outcomes, the primary inspection council, of which Prof. PhD. Phan Thi Tuoi is the president, unanimously accepted the project, promoted it to Ministry of Science and Technology in January 2016 to the state test.

The project inspection attracted a lot of lecturers and students.
As the role of project instructor, Assoc. Prof. PhD Hoang Trang, along with the iHear Tech research team, has carried out sensible research method, and scientific plan to make it successful right at the first production and experiment, which helped the government save over 1.7 billion VND.
