CONFERENCE ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR NEW STUDENTS OF OISP
This is a big question. Only a few people find out the answer after few years of starting up their own business. In the conference on information technology hosted by Office for International Study Program (OISP) – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) in 10/9, new students (K2014) of articulation program and high quality program specialized in Information Technology Engineering were provided an overview about their career, so everyone would be about to find out their own answers.
There were a lot of senior personnel attended in the conference as representatives of big corporation: Mr.Pham Kim Ngan – Technical Director of Mat Bao Company, Mrs.Tran Thi Phuong Linh – Executive Director of Mat Bao BPO Company, Mr.Tran Trong Nghia – Deputy Sale Director of Lac Viet Company.
In the conference, they shared a lot of valuable experience, advices, and answered many questions related to information technology to new students K2014.

For example, Mr.Pham Kim Ngan spent 12 years looking for a suitable job after graduated from department of Information Technology of Viet Nam Mari Time University. His current job is building server, researching and taking care of over 100.000 customers.

Mrs.Tran Thi Phuong Linh said :”learning’s attitude is more important than what you are studying. Besides, you must have a detailed schedule for yourself, focus on academic and never forget to prepare well before working”

She also shared three important elements that employers considered to evaluate candidates in IT field were: knowledge, skills and attitude. A good bachelor of information technology did not only have professional knowledge but also have responsibility, deep knowledge about career’s moral, legality and society.
Mr.Tran Trong Nghia from Lac Viet Company answered student’s questions related to network security, local information security/ customer information security, etc.,. He said that the market of information technology in Vietnam in 2013 was very big and promising with more than 37 billion USD, over 200.000 people working in this field.
