After a devastating period fighting against the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), Vietnam has successfully controlled the spread of the disease and encouraged its people to return to normal. Therefore, HCMUT – Bach Khoa’s students are also required to catch up with the delayed activities of the university in the last months due to the lockdown measures.
Short updates: As of July 6th 2020, Vietnam has recorded 355 patients, 340 out of who have been recovered and discharged from the treatment. Also, the fatality ratio due to COVID-19 in the country has been recorded at 0 so far.
Because of the lockdown, the University has seen an empty campus with very few motorbikes in the parking area and students around, which is a very unfamiliar capture of any corner at HCMUT – Bach Khoa.
However, just a few weeks after the lockdown measures were lifted, there have been a lot of exciting activities and events which were organized under strict protective measures against the virus.
Let’s take a look at those events in the last weeks!
Breaking Records
Who says engineering students mostly deal with mathematical equations but not entertainment activities?
Breaking Records was born undertaking the mission to bring the HCMUT – Bach Khoa’s students a musical playground to show their passion for the world of singing and instruments. The competition is open for all of the students who are confident, dynamic, and dare to express their true color in music.
The first season in 2020 has the concept of “Sing!”, which is expected to bring students and the audience an interesting experience in the thrilling and vibrant journey of achieving their peaks in music.
The DUEL FLASHBACK Round has just ended, leaving the candidates and audience a wonderful range of emotions.
Stay tuned for the next rounds with more electrifying performances from these talented candidates!
OISP Science and Technology Symposium
OISP Science and Technology Symposium is an annual academic playground for HCMUT – Bach Khoa’s students of the international training programs. The goal of this symposium is to promote scientific research, to apply and practice theory and principles that have been and are being learned in classes to solve real-life problems in society under the guidance of teachers. Thereby the students can learn how to approach scientific research methods, creating interest and passion in scientific research.
This year, there are about 200 students with 69 projects from 9 faculties of HCMUT – Bach Khoa taking part in the symposium. A new feature of the symposium this year is that there is an increase in the subjects, therefore, the topics are varied more than before. Moreover, the format of presenting projects is also changed to an open location, enhancing the exciting environment of the symposium.
After years, the conference has gradually earned its position in the hearts of students who are passionate about scientific research. From the immaturity of the subjects at the beginning, they have gradually grown up thanks to the precise and careful guidance of teachers. It’s time for you to present your ideas, creative projects and also this is an opportunity for you to approach, exchange knowledge, and learn from other teams.
