On the afternoon of June 17, 2020, Thong Nhat Hospital (No. 01 Ly Thuong Kiet, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City), held a meeting with HCMUT – Bach Khoa. This meeting is a premise for the two units to come to an official cooperation agreement in the near future. Leaders of the two organizations expressed their desire to cooperate with each other to improve the effectiveness of training and scientific research at the units.
Attending the meeting, on the side of Thong Nhat Hospital, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doctor Le Dinh Thanh – Director of the Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doctor Ho Thuong Dung – Deputy Director of the Hospital and representatives of the affiliated units. On the side of HCMUT – Bach Khoa, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong – Principal and administrators of the departments involved.

The two parties agreed to cooperate to promote the capabilities and strengths of each party. Specifically, there will be training courses organized by two parties to improve professional skills and technology transfer, as well as programs of experience visits, recruitment, exchanges between the two parties.
The combination of the experience of Thong Nhat Hospital and the research and training potential of HCMUT – Bach Khoa will surely enrich the team of highly qualified medical doctors, skills, and research projects which bring many benefits for medicine in Vietnam.
