Le Hong Minh, intake 2021, studying Computer Science in Japanese-oriented programs, won the third prize at the International Cybersecurity Championship 2023 (ICC 2023) held in San Diego, USA at the beginning of August.
To become one of the faces representing Asia to compete at ICC 2023, Hong Minh had to pass the regional selection round and excelled in taking 2nd in Vietnam and 13th in Asia. Among the 15 multinational members of the Asian team, besides Hong Minh from Vietnam, representative students are from Japan, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Although the Asian team did not win the highest prize eventually, they did leave an impression with the highest achievement on the competition day of the Attack & Defense format.
The International Cybersecurity Championship, organized by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), is an international competition contributing to raise awareness about cybersecurity risks and create opportunities for young talents to access and enhance their knowledge in the security field. The ICC 2023 attracts more than 600 participants from all over the world.
