Higher Education Review Board (HERB), belonged to IFT, has recognized HCMUT – Bach Khoa’s program of Food Technology – the faculty of Chemical Engineering, for meeting all of the educational standards which include specialized criteria of Food Technology majors in 5 years from 2020 to 2025.

With this accreditation, HCMUT – Bach Khoa is going to adhere to IFT annual process of quality review in the next 5 years from 2020 to 2025. IFT is an educational organization engaged in science and food technology that is competent and widely recognized by universities, research institutions, and businesses in science and international food technology areas. IFT is in partnerships with prestigious universities around the world, including more than 70 universities in America and around the world such as Cornell University (the world’s TOP 19 universities), University of California, Davis (TOP 59), University of Illinois (TOP 50), University of Wisconsin–Madison (TOP 43), University of Purdue (TOP 64), University of McGill (TOP 44), University of British Columbia (TOP 37), etc.
In order to improve the quality of the university training programs engaged in science and food technology, IFT organization has built up a set of standards about specialization areas that have been relatively upgraded and improved in the past few years. The standards were approved by IFT’s HERB based on the essential requirements for Food Technology students and the criteria about the university’s management quality, academic lecturers, facilities, laboratories, practice workshops, corporate partnerships, etc.
Programs accredited by IFT offer more of competitive advantage for students among the high-quality labor market. Moreover, students taking programs at any university which is accredited by IFT has the chance to get scholarships of IFT. And HCMUT – Bach Khoa is the first and only university in Vietnam to get this recognition from IFT. This recognition also marks a milestone for its training quality in Food Technology Engineering relating to HCMUT’s enhancing international influence strategy.
