One of his greatest achievements is designing 2+2 study program that provide more opportunities for Vietnamese students to study abroad in USA.
 
Prof. Dr. Charles Nguyen Cuong has been very famous for his contribution to Vietnamese community. He awarded many international prizes and one of them is The 2009 Lifetime Achievement awarded by The District of Columbia Council of Engineering and Architectural Societies, The 2014 Asian Heritage Award for his enormous contributions in science and education which affect significantly in and out of the US.
  
According to The Evaluation Council, Prof. Dr. Charles C.Nguyen not only have the remarkable achievements in his career but also help and encourage many people to achieve great success like him.
  
Prof. Dr. Charles Nguyen Cuong worked for Nasa in 10 years. He also invented the first robotic arms to build space station. Therefore, the US President appointed him as a member of director board of Vietnamese Educational Fund.
  
In the last 13 years, Charles C.Nguyen served as Dean of Engineering Faculty in The Catholic University of America – one of the most prestigious universities in US, located in Washington Capital.
  
Besides teaching and scientific researching that require a lot of time and energy, Charles C.Nguyen also devotes a lot for the development of educational system in Vietnam. The articulation program 2+2 is one of that. After finishing 2 year at one of a prestigious university in Vietnam, students may transfer to The Catholic University of America the later 2 years to study and get international bachelor degree.
  
The Catholic University of America’s partners include Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh National University), International University (Ho Chi Minh National University) and Da Nang City University of Technology. There are 70 Vietnamese students following this study program. Half of them will study for their Master or Doctor degrees at HCMUT and the rest will get scholarships from top universities in US like Massachutsetts Institute of Technology, Standford University, University of California Los Angeles,…

Moreover, Charles C.Nguyen hosted partial scholarships programs for Vietnamese bachelors/engineers to have opportunities to study abroad in The Catholic University of America to get Master and Doctor degrees.
  
Charles C.Nguyen shared that the difficult things while studying and working at foreign countries are language and social integration capacity. They lead to difficulty in promotion and leadership position. According to him,  3 important elements that lead people to success are hardworking, sincerity, and altruism.
