In Forbes Billionaires: Full List Of 100 Richest People In The World (2017), there are 26 graduates of engineering majors.
Accordingly, more than a quarter of the 100 richest people in the world have a degree in engineering and are currently engaged in works related to their degree. Some noticeable names are Jeff Bezos – founder of Amazon, Larry Page – co-founder of Google.
Statistics also show that 16 out of 100 people started their careers by doing sales & business; 11 in financial and economic and 6 in law.
Another noteworthy point is that 75 out of 100 riches billionaire, are graduates from various universities and colleges (26 of them graduated from engineering, as mentioned above); 53/100 listed people own their self-business model, not inherited from family (see other detailed statistics here).
